Hello everyone. Once again, we have come across a little MoS-issue on which we need to vote, namely the "floating render" vs. "Render in thumb-box" issue. For the floating render, see Eleanor Mallow. For the thumbnailed version, see Nukilik. Let the voting commence.

• Thumbnailed renders are more consistent on the AC Wiki than the floating ones, so I propose using those from now on. Supreme Master Assassin^{O Mentoras} 21:53, November 14, 2012 (UTC)

  • Well, the thumbnailed ones look more appealing, in my opinion Supreme Master Assassin^{O Mentoras} 21:55, November 14, 2012 (UTC)
• In the case of Eleanor and the like, I'd prefer the floating one. But for general images, maybe the thumbnail would be better. Crimson Knight _Intercom 22:03, November 14, 2012 (UTC)

• It's pointless to render images if we have them inside a thumbnail box regardless. If people are worried about the fact there's no captions without thumb box - hover your cursor over the image. The caption's still there. --Kainzorus Prime ^{Walkie-talkie} 22:36, November 14, 2012 (UTC)
  • Not so. The thumbnail box has a transparent background (well, 80% opaque) that exploits the transparent background in rendered images, so it is not pointless to have them in the boxes. The argument basically boils down to whether we, as a wiki, want to look professional and presentable by having thumbnail boxes, or childish and amateurish by having flying images in the corner of our articles. Sure, it may look nice on some articles, like Mentor or Grand Master, but when it's a character like Ellen, with a wall of text surrounding her image, not so much. --Jasca Ducato _{Council Chamber} ^{Assassination record} 01:10, November 15, 2012 (UTC)
