Forum:On this day on the mainpage
I think it would be a great idea - and collaborative undertaking - to have on the main page a bit of trivia stated what happened on this day in AC's version of history. I've jotted down notes here. Do others like the idea? --Alientraveller (talk) 10:45, July 22, 2014 (UTC)
- I think it's a great idea. However, what if there's a day for which we don't have an AC event? --Crimson Knight Intercom 11:37, July 22, 2014 (UTC)
- Let's see if how much of the 366 days we can fill up, and then we could consider articles for months or have the template only pop up on certain days. --Alientraveller (talk) 21:12, July 22, 2014 (UTC)
- I've seen the AC Initiates twitter page doing something similar. Soooo, are other users free to add dates to your sandbox? Crook The Constantine District 11:43, July 22, 2014 (UTC)
- Yes of course, always. --Alientraveller (talk) 11:50, July 22, 2014 (UTC)
I think this is a great idea, and would gladly help you out with setting it up; I'm implementing dates into the timeline anyway. -- Master Sima Yi Talk 16:23, July 22, 2014 (UTC)
I also support this! If my help is needed in any way, feel free to leave a message on my talk page! :) Nesty Contact me! 17:31, July 22, 2014 (UTC)

Some nice July, August and November dates in my recent edit on the Timeline page; easyy pickings. Let's see if there's something for February 29... -- Master Sima Yi Talk 21:27, July 22, 2014 (UTC)
Oooh, this looks fun! Man if all the times for Initiates to go offline. Still, I think we can pull it together well enough. -Molotov.cockroach (talk) 03:33, July 23, 2014 (UTC)
Might I suggest some form of sourcing though? Notes that simply link to the associated source? -- Master Sima Yi Talk 18:34, July 26, 2014 (UTC)
- Definitely, I'll add 'Read more' links to the relevant memories or files. --Alientraveller (talk) 21:11, July 27, 2014 (UTC)
I was thinking we could do something similar to our current sourcing too, but without the reference list. Like this: [1] -- Master Sima Yi Talk 19:39, August 11, 2014 (UTC)
I think this would be awesome; a bit of trivia every day! I also agree with Master Yi's suggestion about references. OutrightUndead (talk) 04:32, August 31, 2014 (UTC)
