@Crook: I haven't amended the proposal yet due to real-world concerns (namely being too busy), but as I said at the time, I am more than happy to take into consideration any suggestions, like those you've just made, when I type up a finalised proposal.
I obviously agree with your belief that sourcing to database entries and the like is practical, since they contain information that might otherwise be missed in the main narrative, but do believe that sourcing to explicit memories is necessary. In situations where information is being pulled from multiple memories, simply citing the game name isn't enough, in my opinion. I can see some users (nobody in particular, I should add) simply removing valid information because they cannot easily locate the information written.
Regarding novellas and movies; I think citing to chapters is the best bet, since citing to pages is impractical when dealing with different editions of the books, and ebooks (which is what I read). As for films, we can only really cite to the film whole. If somebody requests further details, users can simply provide a timestamp if neccessary.
Finally, with regards to my recent citations, I should point out that I'm only citing to specific memories/database entries/intel entries when it is entirely new information being added, and when said information isn't really mentioned in the main narrative. I have consciously avoided altering existing citations specifically because this amendment hasn't officially gone through yet. You're more than welcome to simplify my citations after they've been made, if you feel it necessary, though I refuse to take a step back in something I genuinely believe is improving the quality of our articles.
