You definitely put a lot of thought into this and it does make a certain amount of sense but I'm not convinced one way or the other.

There are plenty of quests/relationships that work better as Kassandra including the Daughters of Artemis and Xenia questlines among others. The one Olympic sidequest you mentioned is probably Ubisoft not realizing the wider implication of including what is an actual historical anecdote. Furthermore Neema doesn't exist if you play Kassandra.

And if the decision was that late in development I'm not sure Doherty would have had enough time to write his novelization which seems to be based on an earlier version of the script.

It's doubtful that Ubisoft will ever address any of this but it is interesting to think about.
