I also did like the characters especially Crawford Starrick! Though the story was to straight forward and simple for me. There were no real twists that grabbed me, and would have liked to have see Crawford interact with the other antagonist more because the lack of Crawford which connects all main targets made each sequence feel disjointed, in particular Sequence 8. There was no "Round Table" type conspiracy talks which made the Templars feel like one group. AC2 is an example of when it's done well.

I also found it strange that although most of the targets felt that they were actually doing good, they still seemed very obnoxious. I also got excited when seeing "Templar conspiracy" thinking that there would be a video, but was left disappointed to find out there is only written text.
