Still, the leaked details say that the game is set in the range of 1400 BCE to 1200 BCE.

2400 – 2300 BCE is just too far off in time to be a reasonable estimate for the Exodus, even predating the traditional Biblical dating of Abraham. The Kingdom of Israel under Saul is known to date to 1050 BCE. The Bible places the Exodus as 480 years before the 4th year of Solomon's reign, which itself is around 967 BCE. The geopolitical situation of the world during the 5th dynasty of Egypt does not fit with the geopolitical situation around the time of the Hebrew conquest of Canaan, and besides, as I noted in another thread, it makes little sense to set it there since nothing of interest or import occurred in Egypt at that time. We have barely any material on it at all, and Egypt had yet to really interact with other civilizations.

Finally, it makes more sense for the Exodus to have occurred after the Second Intermediate Period of Egypt where the Canaanites, called Hyksos, conquered Egypt and then were finally overthrown and expelled.
