With Rites, however, it's more complicated. Unlike how we know cells can still constitute "Brotherhoods", we're not sure if an Abstergo facility or Templar base in one city would constitute a Rite. As well, as I pointed out in Talk:Templars with Bovkaffe, the boundaries of Templar Rites might not correspond exactly to those of sovereign states; there may be overlaps or one sovereign state, especially a large on like the United States or China, might even be divided into more than one Rite for all we know. (Though it should be noted this might be the case for Assassin branches as well, we can at least say each cell constitutes a branch called "Brotherhood" or part of a branch called a "Brotherhood"). For example, who's to say that there isn't one rite encompassing Chile, Argentina, Bolivia, and Uruguay instead of just a Chilean Rite?
