Here's my 5 cents for AC Philippine Context.

The Spaniards came to find the piece of Eden in the Philippines (Templars)

Andres Bonifacio is secretly a master assassin in the Philippines, he and protagonist could be friends of some sort, we can also connect some Filipino Heroes like Jose Rizal et al who were also members of the free masons to the assassin brotherhood (Just like in AC3)

The dilemma now is with Aguinaldo, will he be a templar or part of the brotherhood, since he killed Bonifacio (master assassin)

For the story plot, maybe we could start with the story of Magellan (templar) fighting Lapu-Lapu (master assassin) then fast forward to 1890, towards the end of the Spanish Occupation. THe key highlights of the story would be the different major battles. As for the location, I think Manila and various municipalities in Cavite would be the best setting since most of the major events in the Philippine history occured in those places. Maybe we could make Biak na Bato as the assassin's HQ.

As for the protagonist, maybe we could make him a childhood friend of Bonifacio or a Filipino-Spanish lineage with a dark past who is a member of the La Liga Filipina.
