As a contingency plan... I would look into if whether or not the warranty can grant a replacement if you can convince them that your console isn't working the way it should be working... I remember I broke something on the Xbox 360 that my parents got my brother and me when I was playing with the flap... you know... in the front... we got a replacement for it... considering yours is an internal problem and you already tried sending it out for repairs... I am doubly sure you can convince them to get you a replacement... just in case...
