"Named after Arsinoe Philadelphos, sister and second wife of Ptolemaios II, Arsinoe is set up along the pharaoh's canal and the Way of Horus, connecting Egypt to Judea."
―Description[src]
The city of Arsinoe

The Arsinoe Nome was a nome of Egypt, situated in the Sinai, north of the Klysma Nome. It was set up along the pharaoh's canal and the Way of Horus, connecting Egypt to Judea. It was named after Arsinoe II, the sister and second wife of Ptolemy II Philadelphus. Its capital city was also called Arsinoe.

In 38 BCE, the Hidden Ones in the Sinai established a bureau in the caves located in the mountains of the nome, after their previous bureau was burned down by the Romans.[1]
