Abstergo Challenge
Okay, I've completed all of the Dives, prior to any DLC's, with only four Shark Attacks. To get the Abstergo Challenge for Explorer level 3 I need to survive 10 Shark Attacks. Now when I go back to a Dive Site and purposely get near a Shark, all that happens is that I get bumped until Desyncronization. Any ideas on how to get attacked? - Hmmm, weird. I had this as well (was attacked 5 times by a shark during all my underwater exploring), but I just went to one of the dive sites afterwards and got myself attacked. The shark bumps into you twice and the third time it comes up close, at which point you need to bash it in the face or something to get it to release you? That worked fine for me, so I don't see why it wouldn't work for you :s Crook The Constantine District 17:53, November 18, 2013 (UTC)
- I'd recommend you continually swim back and forth between the diving bell for health and a shark for the QTE. You'll get enough of them eventually. Slate Vesper (talk) 21:15, November 20, 2013 (UTC)
Weapons against sharks.
The main page says that Edward didn't dive with weapons because that would slow him down. Really? How much slower would a dagger make him? After his first dive the dagger would have been good for assisting in opening a chest instead of kicking it with his bare foot (ouch), as well as fending off a shark or Moray Eel. On my Second dive with Edward, I discovered a Smugglers cavern. While I had no problem with disarming the Smuggler and killing him with that weapon, having my own dagger would have been beneficial. Then there is every Pirate movie I have seen over the years. Whenever the pirate goes under water he has a knife in his teeth. At the least why couldn't he dive with his Wrist Blades, he swims with his Wrist Blades doesn't he? Bartlmay (talk) 20:52, November 24, 2013 (UTC)
- Assassin's Creed is never about complete realism. In this case, game design took precedence over realism, as it sometimes tends to do. Yes, a dagger, or even the hidden blades, wouldn't really slow down Edward underwater, though it'd probably reduce the tension of the underwater levels (I know I never felt really safe underwater :I). Also, Ubisoft probably didn't want to or couldn't implement underwater combat mechanics. Crook The Constantine District 21:06, November 24, 2013 (UTC)
