Controls?
okay, so I think that I get how they are goint to do this control change. Ready? because of the high and low profile controls in the game, they really have eight buttons to use instead of 4, the four high profile, and the four low profile buttons, being switched by pressing or relieving the right trigger. So my guess is that in low profile your controls will be the normal, fast walk(a), push aside/empty hand (b), unsheath weapon/low profile assassinate/armed hand (x), and eagle vision/head (y). But when in high profile your controls will be as they normally are in high profile except for (b) being the hook blade, supposedly being used to quickly travel through crowds nimbly, replacing shove and tackle, and for making free running easier (as I remember it being mentioned that you could do various things such as swinging from hanging pots etc, with them) and the infamous ziplines (which actually sounds pretty cool if it is well done); then the (y) button will be used for the bombs in high profile, they will probably do something like make the Left Button a bomb menu similar the the Right button weapon menu. any speculation would be welcomed Harleyzone 23:04, May 13, 2011 (UTC)
Hookblade or Hidden Blade?
I saw a disagreement on whether Ezio was using the Hookblade or Hidden Blade in a picture. But in the end aren't they one and the same. In the promo art (same as the background) it shows that the hook is attached to the hidden blade, so is it just one and the same blade with a hook attached under it. Or does it show that both are ignited at the same time? Cause if it was the first then it doesn't matter that the deleted picture says he's using the hook blade to kill. If it's the latter, that's another subject... -- Altaïr 07:02, May 19, 2011 (UTC)
- To me personally it seems that Jason Ducato is actually the only one removing the image again and again. Anyway, I think that the hookblade is just attached,so Ezio can either use the hidden blade or the hookblade. If you look closely at the deleted picture however, you can see the eagle head (the one from the hookblade) at the guard's neck. I'd say it's safe to assume that Ezio is indeed making use of the hookblade here. StPerkele 10:03, May 19, 2011 (UTC)
- If you look close at that picture where the hook appears to be attatched to the blade, you will see a rod coming from the eagle head into the brace(?) of the hidden blade just above the blade itself, it is hard to see but if you look close enough you will see that it is not attatched, I believe that there is concept art out now for the hookblade that shows it as clearly being a separate attatchmet, like the poison needle.
