Talk:Assassin apprentice
Apprentice Names[edit source]
i know master yima added this information, and then it was removed by someone else, but do you guys think we should list the name of the apprentinces? even though we dont know anything about them yet it would be easier to add information about them when we find out more about them cause their names will already be listed, or do you guys think we should add their names once we know more about them? - The one he rescued in the Gamescon gameplay video was called Nestore Nucci. After he resued him, he went to a chicken coop and it says: You just recruited a new trainee, Nestore Nucci has been added to your assassins guild. RussellSparrow 15:28, September 2, 2010 (UTC)
- Is it me or did anyone else notice how Paulo Simoni or whatever his name is, is a play on Paul Simon? Furrywalls 21:07, September 17, 2010 (UTC)
- I've been putting together a list of the names; so far, I've got over 30. Worth including? 168.28.199.69 17:34, November 23, 2010 (UTC)

Assassin titles[edit source]
Maybe we should also mention the titles of each rank as the apprentices level up. I don't know all the titles but some of them being Maestro, or Assassino, being the last rank once the apprentice has reached Master Assassin Rank. Maestro is level 9, before Assassino, I should go ahead and look over this. Elascador 17:39, November 17, 2010 (UTC)
- It's already on the ranks page. Campbell430 17:48, November 17, 2010 (UTC)
- Oh sweet! Elascador 04:06, November 18, 2010 (UTC)
Renaming article[edit source]
I need a second opinion here. I don't think they're called "apprentices" anywhere in Brotherhood, only "recruits." The term isn't exactly wrong, but maybe the article should reflect the game? What do you guys think? =GuardDog 09:38, November 30, 2010 (UTC)
12 apprentices[edit source]
What's the point of having 12 apprentices when you can only call up to 6 at any time? Alpheta 07:00, December 22, 2010 (UTC)
- I think it is in case some of them die, you still have six others on backup so you can continue to do things like the arrows storm, but I don't really see the point in having twelve and only using six.
- Having 12 means you can constantly have 6 on missions and still have all the gameplay benefits of being able to call 6 Assassins. It provides a source of Florins and items that requires no major effort from the player. Even if you don't need the Florins, it is still useful when a Shop Quest item pops up on a mission rather than running around the city looking for chests hoping one contains what you need.
Genders[edit source]
How do you change the color of the font? Because some of the names on the list are definately listed as the wrong gender. Subject One 19:57, December 31, 2010 (UTC)
- You don't, we're not having mutli-coloured text in the article, regardless of it's use. --Jasca Ducato Council Chamber Assassination record 22:09, January 3, 2011 (UTC)
- Good. Seemed like kind of a stupid idea in the first place. I just thought it may as well be done correctly. Subject One 00:44, January 14, 2011 (UTC)
Gender Locations[edit source]
It mentions the apprecitces' genders being based on the location of the map.
Does anyone have a specific map layout of where the female/male apprectices will be?
Danke.
I second this request. 5 recruits (plus 1 citizen I couldn't save since he stupidly fell to his death) and only the one woman from the first 2 mission-related recruits. As far as I can tell, maximum's 12. Wanna get started on recruiting more of the fairer sex.
I recruited some female assassins. I think almost all of my assassins are female. I dunno, I just love to have female assassin more than male one, maybe since I'm gamer girl. I usually find the female one around Rosa In Fiore. You get at least 60% chance of meeting female citizen to be recruit around this location. I also found another location, but I just forgot... Hope it'll help Ivalice Tifalucis 05:20, July 1, 2011 (UTC)
I have heard that all the locations are fixed genders, and everytime uts the same. I haven't tested it yet. Jedizora 06:41, August 14, 2011 (UTC)
Assassin's Creed Revelations[edit source]
do u think you will be able to get Apprentices in Revelations? i hope they do. they were my favourite part of Assassins Creed brotherhood --121.214.157.169 00:49, May 29, 2011 (UTC)
You definitely can, it is shown on the E3 demo. User:Eggy2504 12:19, June 7, 2011
Brotherhood to Revelations[edit source]
Does anyone know if the Apprentices from Brotherhood will be brought back in Revelations as a boost for those who used them originally? I would like to see them back in some form, maybe at a slightly lower level because it would be unfair to those who haven't played Brotherhood. It would make sense to have them there for continuity. User:Eggy2504 14:46, 20 June, 2011
Recruits will be back! Watch the E3 Demo! TheSt0ryTeller 06:12, July 1, 2011 (UTC)
The recruits from brotherhood are working in roma. You recruit for the Constantinople guild now.70.70.13.203 20:08, July 30, 2011 (UTC)
Unique Apprentices in Revelations???[edit source]
Twice now i have stumbled onto apprentices that had some sort of "mission" to go along with them. Well, actually 3 times if you count the first one you make an assassin. the other 2 were "The Acrobat" and "The Brawler".
What i would like to know is if there are lots more or something, because honestly i'd rather have THOSE assassins than the "common" ones that say things like "I've always wanted to be a part of something greater than myself!" etc generic lines. makes no big diffrence, just prefrence wise. :P
(Deezlle)
I do not think there is much difference between those recruits and the ones you rescue from the guards. The only difference is the prerequisite for recruiting them. And I think it would be better if you sign your posts with the four tildes (~ this symbol) - EzioA7 07:52, November 28, 2011 (UTC)
There were only about 6 of those unique recruitment missions, IIRC, and yeah, no difference in abilities. Ecthel013 07:22, December 16, 2011 (UTC)
Master Assassins[edit source]
Is there a way i can get more than just the normal 7 up to rank 15. I want a team of all women but that one guy they had at the start just wont get killed off.

How To[edit source]
In Revelations, I have gotten the first seven Assassin Recruits to the Max Level: Level 15. Now that ALL of my dens are locked, how do the other Assassin Recruit missions? All my others are stuck at level 10 with 9000XP/8500XP (approx.) There are seven dens in Revelations. I have seven Recruits to the Max Level: Level 15. All of the seven dens in the whole game are locked and belong to me. (meaning they are immune to Templar attacks) Now I can't get my other recruits past level 10 because I can't find where to initiate the mission. I go inside the locked den and I can't find a memory start. No memory starts are anywhere on the map. - GORNIAK47
Mediterranean Defense, stick some of those level 10s in your cities. It'll open up more slots for recruits. If you mean Master Assassin missions, you can only get 7 Master Assassins throughout the whole game and you can't get rid of them, so your other Assassins will be stuck at level 10 for the rest of the game. Apprentices in ACIII?[edit source]
I wonder if there will also be apprentices in ACIII? Godfrey Raphael 11:38, April 24, 2012 (UTC)
I just saw a video where Connor does a BAM and four people dressed as Redcoats appear and Connor crosses his arms behind his back acting as if they're taking him as prisoner, after passing a guard post they spring and attack the REAL redcoats. Connor made a gesture to summon them that looked a lot like the Brotherhood Apprentice manoeuvre from Brotherhood and Revelations 95.146.39.78 12:19, June 9, 2012 (UTC)
The way they appear and makes it looke like Connor is a prisinor is called Cover Escort.--ACsenior (talk) 16:06, September 2, 2012 (UTC)
Are there more than six recruits availible in AC III? One of my recruits died and I have no idea if another can be recruited or if they are just un availible for a while. Please help.108.217.130.244 07:10, December 28, 2012 (UTC)
There are only 6 recruits in ACIII, if one of them "dies" just leave the area and wait a few minutes, you can tell exactly how long they'll be out of action for by going to the Assassin recruit menu which is mapped to the "T" key on the PC by default. Lucan07Haunt me...and Stuff 07:19, December 28, 2012 (UTC)
Huh? What? Your recruits can never die in AC3... they just get injured, what are you talking about? Supreme Master AssassinO Mentoras 07:20, December 28, 2012 (UTC)
Grr... 2 Edit Conflicts. They are just unavailable for a while. And it is "L2" for PS3 Il Prode lupo ~ Temi il Lupo! ~ Rispettare il Lupo! 07:24, December 28, 2012 (UTC)
Information here not very useful for gameplay[edit source]
This entire article reads like a lore page - and while that may be its intended scope - it's not too helpful for people looking for gameplay information. I was looking for info about the leveling up system for the recruits in AC3 and there is nothing at all about this.
Things like the max level, where and when to find recruits, their skills etc. All this related info should be on it's own page instead of having to looking through various pages for bits of info. I have found a good guide on IGN (of all places!) that deals with this, so I'll need to use that - but it might be a good idea to consider adding such info to this page. Jimeee (talk) 10:32, July 11, 2013 (UTC)
- Unfortunately, you won't find any such information on the wiki. The site is a reference source, not a game guide; as such our articles are supposed to read like a lore page. If you wish to view such information, I can only suggest websites like IGN (which you have already visited). --Jasca Ducato Council Chamber Assassination record 11:14, July 11, 2013 (UTC)
- That's a shame. When I got the game, this wiki was the first place I thought of when I needed help (based on most videogame wikias serving as game guides). I see earlier someone posted a link to the Ranks page which does have gameplay terms and tables etc. They way the page is set up sort of makes the wiki's stance of 'reference material only' a little confusing. It includes gameplay info from previous games but not AC3, so people may assume it's an incomplete page. Jimeee (talk) 11:26, July 11, 2013 (UTC)
- Whilst the page you've linked too does indeed show rank names, and statistics associated with them, you will notice that it doesn't actually provide any 'gameplay tips' as to how to obtain those ranks. --Jasca Ducato Council Chamber Assassination record 14:23, July 11, 2013 (UTC)
- To answer your questions, in ACB and ACR, apprentices can be recruited after a certain point in the singleplayer campaign and show up across Rome and Constantinople with a crosshair-like icon on the Animus map, provided you have a slot available. In AC3, the apprentices are set members, but you recruit them after completing "Liberation Missions" in each district of Boston and New York. You can then train up apprentices by sending them on contract missions, which is done via pigeon coops in ACB and ACR, and by using the LB (Xbox) or L1 (PS3) button with AC3 to pull up a menu and then select X/Square. Article title too general[edit source]
I think the article title should be more specific, i.e. "Assassin apprentices" even if they're only referred to as "Apprentices" in-game. The reason for the games only referring to them as "Apprentices" rather than "Assassin apprentices" would be because it's obvious that they're affiliated with the Assassins given that you're playing an Assassin, on the Assassin faction, and they're your apprentices. It's redundant. However, in terms of an encyclopedia, where we're not writing devoted to the franchise as a whole, not just the Assassins, "apprentices" would properly be apprentices of any faction, not just an Assassin. At the very least, there could be Templar apprentices too, even if their title isn't officially "Templar apprentices".
I suppose the article does pose it as an official title: "Apprentices", and that it is not referring to the general noun "apprentices", but then I'm not sure if that's proper either. Are we sure that they had ever meant it as an official title? Sol Pacificus(Cyfiero) 11:33, February 3, 2017 (UTC)
- Agreed. I made the move. --Amnestyyy (Contact me!) <helper /> 11:45, February 3, 2017 (UTC)
