Zhang Ji (張垍) was a scribe who worked in the court of Tang emperor Xuanzong. In the early 750s, Zhang Ji was ordered to draw up the document that would give general An Lushan permission to attend the meetings of chancellors and be regarded as one among their ranks, though the Emperor would later decide against doing so. Zhang Ji was also known for his animosity towards poet and fellow government official Li Bai.[1]
