Zeniab Hassan was the wife of Ashraf and mother of Layla, Rami, and Kaden.

Biography

Immigration to the United States

After Zeniab gave birth to a daughter; Layla in 1984 in Cairo, Egypt, the family immigrated to the United States in 1986,[1] before settling in Queens, New York. Where her two sons would later be born, immediately granting them American citizenship. Zeniab, her husband and daughter later became citizens through the naturalization process.[2]

During her daughter's childhood, Zeniab and Ashraf were often at their wit's end by Layla more interested in dissembling her toys rather than playing with them.[1] Around the same time, during the 1990s, the family celebrated the Islamic holiday Ramadan in a big fashion, something that they would remember fondly.[3]

Death of her daughter

The last contact she and her husband had with Layla was in the Winter of 2019, in August 2020 when they asked Rami about her whereabouts he had told them she was on a research assignment in the Amazon, unbeknownst to all of them, Layla had sacrificed herself for the good of humanity within the Yggdrasil Chamber, an Isu facility located within Hordaland, Norway.[4]
