Xiphos of Dionysos

The Xiphos of Dionysos was a legendary xiphos which had allegedly belonged to the Greek god of wine Dionysos. The bull's head decorating the sword's crossguard further enhanced this association. During the Peloponnesian War, the Spartan king Pausanias owned the blade. After the misthios Kassandra revealed his allegiance to the Cult of Kosmos and his operations as the leading Sage for the cult's Peloponnesian League branch, she assassinated him and claimed the sword for herself.[1][2]
