In the autumn of 1888, around the time that Jack the Ripper committed the Whitechapel murders, Shinnings stabbed his co-worker to death outside the theatre. Behind the Scenes
The Bounty Hunt is based on a real life incident: the actor William Terriss was stabbed outside the Adelphi Theatre by another actor, Richard Archer Prince, in December 1897. The progress tracker erroneously refers to Woody Shinnings as "Michael Stiff".
