Vermont is a state located in the north-eastern region of the United States, and located in New England. Vermont is bordered by New York to the West, New Hampshire to the East, and Massachusetts to the South.

The colony of Vermont was one of the thirteen colonies that claimed independence from Great Britain during the American Revolution.
