Captain Thomas Preston (1722 - 1798) was an officer in the British Army.
Background
Originally of Ireland, Preston would later join the British Army, in which he became an officer. He was later stationed with the 29th Regiment of Foot in Boston, Colonial America.
Interactions
Preston is seen during the "A Trip To Boston" memory in Sequence 5. The Assassin Achilles Davenport and his apprentice Ratonhnhaké:ton enter the town square to find an angry crowd of Colonists beseeching a small troop of British soldiers. Preston is stood atop the stairway ordering the crowd to disperse. However, they refuse and continue to chastise the soldiers.
Shortly thereafter, Charles Lee, a member of the Colonial Templars, fires a shot into the air. The shot startles the British troops, now believing they are under attack, and they open fire on the crowd.
