Thjodolf was a Norse skald.

Once, while drinking at Stavanger, Thjodolf was challenged in flyting by Halli, which he happily accepted. He composed a quick verse, causing the room and Halli himself to laugh. On Halli's turn, however, his opponent tripped across the room and opened his mouth to speak his verse, only to vomit onto Thjodolf.[1]
