The Hookblade
The Hookblade is a memory in Assassin's Creed: Revelations.
Description
After Ezio Auditore upgrades his arsenal, he returns to the Assassins headquarters. Yusuf Tazim notices Ezio's second hidden blade and introduces him a modified version of the blade which the Assassins called as a Hookblade.
Equipped with the new blade, Yusuf displays the use of this blade to Ezio.
Dialogue
- Yusuf: Praise the heavens! We feared we had lost our Mentor to the vices of the big city!
- Ezio: I am content with my own vices, grazie (thank you).
- Yusuf: So, what's on your mind, Ezio?
- Ezio: Tell me more about the Templars. You call them Byzantines, yet the Byzantine Empire was overthrown sixty years ago.
- Yusuf: These men are remnants of a line loyal to the cause of the last Emperor, Constantine XI. Who leads them now, however, I cannot say.
- Ezio: Capisco. (I see.) I suppose it is up to me to find out.
- Yusuf notices Ezio's second blade.
- Yusuf: Ezio, where is your hookblade?
- Ezio: My hookblade?
- Yusuf: You've never seen one? I grew up using these.
One the Assassin nearby hands Yusuf a hookblade. Ezio arms himself with the new blade.
- Ezio: Hmm, show me how it works.
- Yusuf: Follow my lead!
Yusuf demonstrates the use of a hookblade and Ezio follows him performing every maneuver displayed. After sometime they return to the Galata tower where Yusuf displays a new move.
- Yusuf: Watch and learn, Ezio. We call this a hook-and-run.
Sprint at your opponent, and just as you reach him, use the hookblade to slip by.
Outcome
Ezio Auditore gains a replacement for his broken blade.
