Takasago Shrine

Takasago Shrine is a Shinto shrine located in Takasago in Harima, Japan.

History

In 1582, the Kakushiba ikki members Fujibayashi Naoe and Yasuke infiltrated the guarded shrine and looked for a lieutenant, who was to replace Hiromichi under Bessho Harumasa's orders. However, they soon discovered that the lieutenant was dealing with supplies aboard an atakebune. Thus, they left the shrine to investigate the ship.[1] At a later time, the pair returned to the shrine and paid their respects to four of its smaller shrines.[2]
