It doesn't say anything about the company being founded by the Assassins. Also, Achilles reached out to the actual Swedish Assassins regarding the Aquila, not the company. In any case, the Aquila was built in 1749 so that whole paragraph was just wrong.)

The Swedish Levant Company was a Swedish chartered company founded in 1738.

That same year, the Swedish Brotherhood of Assassins began using the company as a cover for their operations.[1]

Behind the scenes

The Swedish Levant Company was a real-world chartered company set up in 1738 with the aim of organising Swedish trade efforts in the eastern Mediterranean. The company's efforts largely failed.[2]
