The Starrick Industries was a front-company for the British Rite of the Templar Order, that existed in London during the Industrial Revolution. Owned by the Templar Grand Master Crawford Starrick, who inherited it from his father, Starrick Industries started out as a small firm producing locomotive components. Under Crawford, the company grew into a diverse corporate empire, encompassing a number of dependent firms, such as the Starrick Telegraph Company.

Starrick was ruthless towards his employees, and installed Rupert Ferris as a manager in order to maximize profit and keep spending to a minimum. Despite this, following the death of Philip Twopenny and the collapse of the British economy thanks to the inflation that followed, Starrick raised the wages of his workers in order to counter the threat of inflation.
