Sons of Liberty

The Sons of Liberty were a group of Patriots that originated the independence movement in the colonies. They were dedicated to improving American freedom under the British rule. The Sons were known for their rowdy independence acts against the British. Such notions prevented well known patriots such as John Hancock from joining the group, for if he did, he most certainly would have been arrested.

Notable members included Paul Revere, Samuel Adams, and Benedict Arnold.
