Dialogue

Ratonhnhaké:ton walked up to an injured woman.

• Ratonhnhaké:ton: Are you alright?
• Myriam: What do you think?
• Ratonhnhaké:ton: How did this happen?
• Myriam: Poachers in the woods. I asked them to leave. This was their answer.
• Ratonhnhaké:ton: Come on, we need to get that arm looked at.
• Myriam: What of the men who did this?
• Ratonhnhaké:ton: They can wait. Your wound cannot.

Ratonhnhaké:ton picked up Myriam and walked towards the Manor.

• Ratonhnhaké:ton: You'll be able to make it to the house?
• Myriam: Yes, I think the ball took only flesh.
• Ratonhnhaké:ton: And what is your name?
• Myriam: Myriam.
• Ratonhnhaké:ton: Do you live nearby?
• Myriam: Uh, I don't have a home, per se. I took to the Frontier when I was a young girl. I've made my life out here ever since. I'm living where the land makes easiest.
• Ratonhnhaké:ton: Not a common choice for a woman of the colonies.
• Myriam: No, it's not. But truth be told, it was this, or the convent or the brothels. I prefer the open air.
