Shinobi Training Ground

The Shinobi Training Ground was the training ground at Mibuno Vale in Iga, Japan. By 1582, Master Assassin Momochi Sandayu of the Kakushiba ikki led the instruction of the Igan shinobi until his death during the invasion of Iga.
History
In November 1579, Sandayu met with the young shinobi Fujibayashi Naoe and instructed her to investigate one of the watchtowers at Kunimiyama Fort. Handing her a grappling hook, Sandayu tasked her to find out what happened to their brothers in arms. Upon her return, Naoe spoke to Sandayu and informed her that separate Oda soldiers captured the fort and killed the shinobi. Angry, Sandayu thanked Naoe for her intel and promised to send men to retake the fort.[1]
A year later after the invasion, the newly-reformed Kakushiba ikki members Naoe and Yasuke followed a lead from the yamabushi Genpaku, who informed them of a group of murderous imposters terrorizing the people. Agreeing to help, they traveled to the Shinobi Training Ground. Naoe and Yasuke heard meditating sounds coming from atop its stairs. There, they saw the leader of the imposters' meditating but noticed his armor was on the ground for awhile. Discovering letters nearby, they realized that the leader became remorseful in what he had done and decided to spare his life.[2]
