Shahar was the twin brother of Shalim, the son of Moloch, and one of Armand Bouchart's closest men. He was a young nobleman identical in appearance and dress to his brother Shalim.

Biography

Shahar was first seen giving a speech to the people of Kyrenia, falsely mistaken by Altaïr to be Shalim. He told his public of Armand Bouchart's wishes and the consequences for those who did not obey. Then, after his speech, Shahar made his way into Saint Hilarion Castle, disappearing. Altaïr, having found a quick route into the castle by a group of courtesans - Maria being one of them - followed Shahar inside.

Death

Shalim and Shahar, slain by Altaïr.

There, inside the castle, Maria interrogated Shahar about the Templar causes and the Apple, soon to be disrupted by the intruder Assassin. At that point, as Shalim joined Shahar, Altaïr found out that they were in fact twin brothers, and not the same person as he believed them to be. Maria fled shortly after, leaving both the twin brothers to fight against the lone Assassin. Shalim and Shahar began their fight confidently, sure to quickly overwhelm their opponent, as both of them were adapt with the blade. However, Altaïr, in his rage and frustration by the betrayal he had to endure, kept fighting for his life, eventually slaying the twins.

Characteristics and personality

In contrast to his brother, Shahar was a very calm, well-studied, religious man. He was truly loyal to the Templar idea of a perfect world. Altaïr did not know about Shahar until the very moment he appeared to combat the Assassin alongside his brother.
