Richard was an employee of Abstergo Industries. Sometime after Lucy Stillman's arrival at the Templar-owned company, he was one of three men who barged into her apartment one night with orders to kill her.

Ironically, as Lucy mentioned the event to Desmond Miles, she later went on to state that they occasionally ate lunch together.
