Prince's Palace

The Prince's Palace was a palace in Baghdad, located on the bank of the Tigris river in the Harbiyah district.

In the 860s, the Alamut Hidden One Basim Ibn Ishaq accepted a contract from the Zanj rebel Beshi in the Hidden Ones' bureau. In the letter, Basim was informed that one of Caliph Al-Mu'tazz's favorite concubines who served as a rebel spy had been captured and was being interrogated by an Abbasid captain at the palace before her indented execution. Basim made his way to and infiltrated the palace, where he was able to assassinate the captain and free the concubine to safety.[1]
