Poland is a country in Central Europe, situated close to Germany, Ukraine, Lithuania and Belarus.

History

World War II

Before the Second World War flashpoint burst, the country was invaded by the Nazi Germany and the Soviet Union together. At the end of the war, the country was forced to join the Warsaw Pact.

On 15 July 1943, Assassins Julia Dusk and Eddie Gorm infiltrated Książ Castle, which was holding an auction hosted by Nazi leader and German Templar Gero Kramer, to recover an Apple of Eden. Attacking above, the Assassins attacked and ultimately killed Kramer and recovered the Apple. During their escape, they found their way to the underground experiment, Project Riese, where their leader, Boris Pash, awaited them. However, within moments, both Nikola Tesla and Pash revealed the latter's temporary agreement with the Templars. Eddie attacked Pash but was severely wounded while Dusk, dismayed, tried to use a grenade to destroy the Apple, killing herself in the process.

Unfortunately, Dusk's attempt was unsuccessful and Pash took the intact Apple while leaving Gorm to bleed to death. However, Eddie escaped the castle and survived his injuries.

Cold War

By the end of the Cold War, Poland had gained its independence from the USSR.
