Pedro Llorente
Pedro Llorente was the Spanish Inquisition's Calficador.
Biography
Pedro Llorente worked with Tomás de Torquemada to round up men whose names had been given to them by Rodrigo Borgia, one of the three candidates for the position of Pope. They claimed these men were heretics and deserved to die because of it.
In 1491, the Assassins Ezio Auditore and Raphael Sánchez visited Zaragoza, where Pedro Llorente had stationed himself. As Ezio sought him out with the intention of assassinating him, he witnessed a conversation between him and Torquemada, which revealed to Ezio why these men were being executed.
The two Inquisitors then oversaw the execution of an Assassin, after which Torquemada left. Ezio then confronted Llorente and asked him about the Templars, to which Llorente denied having any knowledge of them. Ezio then assassinated the man, as he was an unknowing ally to the Templars and had overseen the assassination of one of his fellow Assassins.[1]
Final words
- Pedro: What's this? You're not allowed in here!
- Ezio: Excuse my intrusion, but I was told you might know how to get me in contact with the Templars.
- Pedro: The Templars? Surely you're joking, young man. The Templars were disgraced and disbanded two centuries ago. Rumors of their continued activities are as reliable as fairy tales...
- Ezio: That's a shame, Padre... if they don't exist they won't be able to save you... (Ezio forces his Hidden Blade into Pedro, killing him).
