Palace of the Green Dome

The Palace of the Green Dome, also known as the Caliphal Palace, was the residence of the Abbasid caliph and the royal family in Baghdad. Located at the center of the Round City, it was surrounded by lush gardens with a number of official and military buildings in the surrounding complex.

In the 860s, the Hidden One Basim Ibn Ishaq infilitrated the palace to look for Qabiha, the concubine of the late caliph Al-Mutawakkil and the leader of the Order of the Ancients within the caliphate.[1]
