The Ornate Staff was a staff made and used during the 5th century BCE. Adorned with intricate carvings, these staves appeared ritualistic, but were in fact quite useful in combat.
During the Peloponnesian War, the Spartan misthios Kassandra commonly found this weapon in the inventories of blacksmiths and looted it from bodies and chests during her travels throughout Greece.[1]

Behind the scenes
The Ornate Staff, a weapon in Assassin's Creed: Odyssey, shares the same model as a number of other similar weapons in the same game, including Hippokrates' Staff. These are all the recycled model of the Ritual Scepter, a weapon in Assassin's Creed: Origins.
