Nigel Bumble

Nigel Bumble (22 February 1852 - unknown) was a member of the Assassin-affiliated gang called the Rooks which were active in the 19th century.

Biography

Early life

Born to a family of modest means, Nigel and his siblings, two brothers and a sister, formed a musical ensemble in the docks to help their parents earn money for the family. Unfortunately, Nigel was surprised by a goose and swallowed his mouth harp.

When Nigel turned sixteen, his parents decided to move north. However, during their transfer, Nigel got separated with his family at the train station and was left to fend for himself.

Joining the Rooks

Sometime in Victorian London, Nigel decided to stalk Agnes MacBean, who worked with the Rooks in their hideout, to gain information on the gang he desperately wanted to join. However, Agnes caught the boy stalking her and sought help from the Assassin Evie Frye to lure Nigel to their private train hideout. Unfortunately, Nigel had inadvertently alerted the rival Templar-affiliated gang Blighters of Agnes' association and begun to attack the woman. Evie managed to eliminate the threat and with Agnes, captured Nigel who identified himself and his purpose. Agnes allowed her to join the gang as her helper in tidying up the train.

One night, Nigel went out drinking with the other Rooks and somehow got mixed up in the murder of a Blighter and was arrested. Evie helped him away by destroying the evidence. When the Police Chief arrived, the arresting sergeant was humiliated as Evie told him that he had no evidence against Nigel, in which he was released.

Nigel later stole a gatling gun from the Blighters and brought it to the train and showed if off to Jacob Frye. However, the Blighters attacked the train, forcing Jacob to use the gatling gun. Ultimately, they were forced to abandon the train car carrying the gatling gun.
