This article is about the characters used in Multiplayer section of the game. You may be looking for the singleplayer version of them known as Civil Oppressors.

As Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood is the first major installment in the series to feature a multiplayer, there are many multiplayer personas that are playable.

It has been confirmed by Ubisoft that there are a total of 17 multiplayer characters in the Codex Version of the game, including the Harlequin, Officer, and Hellequin. A few of the characters will also be present as targets for Ezio to kill in the singleplayer, in Templar Agent side missions. At the moment, all 17 multiplayer character have 4 different variations to their costumes (referred to as gear) as well as the option to change the color of them.

As of 3/8/11, 4 new multiplayer characters were released with the Da Vinci Disappearance DLC; the new characters being: the Knight, the Marquis, the Pariah and Dama Rossa.

Characters

  • Doctor - Bearing dark robes and a beak-shaped mask, the Doctor uses a syringe to assassinate his targets.
  • Courtesan - A sensual woman in liberal clothing, the Courtesan assassinates her targets via fluidly lethal movements, or a special, bladed fan.
  • Executioner - A muscular looking man that has the appearance of a butcher, the Executioner wields an axe as his weapon.
  • Nobleman - Wearing very rich clothing such as a gold-lined cape, the Nobleman assassinates his targets using his claw, a prosthetic set in place of his missing arm.
  • Priest - A bald man wearing robes similar to those of a monk, he uses a very thin holy blade as his weapon.
  • Prowler - Using skills and wearing robes very similar to the Assassins, though in Templar colors, the Prowler sports a switchblade, the Templar version of the Hidden Blade.
  • Barber - Wearing ordinary noble's clothes and having white streaks in his dark hair, he uses a razor to assassinate his targets. He's a beast and him and the doctor are both awesome! I MADE THEM BOTH ON LBP2! Woot for editing!
  • Engineer - An expert marksman wearing mostly red and white clothes, he wields a compass as his weapon.
  • Blacksmith - A fat fatty of a fag armor and sporting a noticeable, bright red beard, he uses a large hammer as his weapon. WooT FOR EDITING!!!
  • Captain - Wearing decorative armor, the Captain wields a thin rapier.
  • Smuggler - A woman who wears a hooded robe and traffics rare items, she has a hidden blade similar to those of the Assassins, though the blade is inverted and extends from the top of her wrist.
  • Footpad - A man dressed like a thief or pickpocket wielding a pair of shivs.
  • Thief - A chick who looks like the chick from Mythbusters wearing ragged clothes, she wields half a pair of sharp scissors in a makeshift scissor blade. WOOT FOR EDITING!
  • Mercenary - A strong man who bears a heavy resemblance to Mario Auditore and other mercenaries, but wields a short sword.
  • Harlequin (limited edition/pre-order exclusive) - Wearing a costume similar to those of the performers of Carnevale, he has a mask to hide his identity and carries two thin, needle-like rondel daggers.
  • Officer (limited edition/pre-order exclusive) - A sleek, middle-aged man, adorned in a fine black cloak, wielding an epieu.
  • Hellequin (Uplay reward) - Wearing a purple and yellow striped costume, resembling the outfit of her brother, the Harlequin, she wears a intricately detailed mask that partially covers her face and wields two barbed-like daggers.
  • Knight (DLC exclusive - Da Vinci Disappearance) - An armor-clad knight equipped with a titanium longsword.
  • Marquis (DLC exclusive - Da Vinci Disappearance) - A wealthy looking man equipped with a sabre.

Trivia

  • There are currently three civilian types in multiplayer mode: the Heralds, the Merchants, and the Performers (multiple variations).
  • Every character (except for the Thief and the characters included in The Da Vinci Disappearance DLC) features in the first chapter of the Rome Pack of Assassin's Creed: Project Legacy.
  • When killed in the Single Player Campaign, Templar Agents enter the Memory Corridor but do not converse with Ezio like the main targets.
  • Despite having their own unique moves, multiplayer characters can all break their target's necks in the same fashion as one another.
  • In Campaign, the Agents do not use weapons that they use in multiplayer. This was probably because Ubisoft would have had to make a totally new set of fighting moves for the AI.
