Angelos Cave
Angelos Cave was a small cave located in the Forest of Tears on the eastern coast of the Greek island of Chios.
During the Peloponnesian War the cave was visited by the misthios Kassandra, who found a treasure within.[1]
Trivia
- Ἄγγελος (ángelos) is the Greek word meaning 'messenger', the source of the English word angel. It was also the name of a lesser known daughter of Zeus and Hera who became known as a chthonic deity.
