Manuel Palaeologos (1455 - 1512) ^{[citation needed]} was an heir to the Byzantine throne before the Byzantine Empire rumbled, and had mysterious ties with the Templar Order.

After Ezio Auditore da Firenze arrived in Constantinople, he tasked himself with finding out wether Palaeologos' true loyalty laid with the Byzantines or with the Templars.
