The Loire is a river flows from the eastern coast of France and its country's longest river. By 29 April 1429, the "Bastard of Orléans," Jean de Dunois ordered for ships to sail on the Loire for more supplies. However, the wind blew strongly in the opposite direction. While near the Loire, de Dunois was joined by both Jeanne d'Arc and her "shadow" Gabriel Laxart while he explained his ships have yet to arrive to start their battle. Miraculously, Jeanne held her arms out and seemingly changed the winds to blow in their favor. Within the day, de Dunois' ships sailed and arrived with the army's supplies.[1]
