A livre minted in 1786

The livre was the main currency used throughout the Kingdom of France and the subsequent First French Republic following the French Revolution of 1789.

Trivia

• In Assassin's Creed: Unity, the in-game HUD anachronistically uses the French franc's currency symbol ₣ despite it being the currency's unofficial graphic proposed 200 years later in 1988.
