Jarnshus

Jarnshus was a prison in southwestern Vangrinn, Svartálfaheimr. During the Muspel invasion of the realm, Muspel and jötnar warriors used the prison to hold and torture their dwarven captives.

History

In Eivor Varinsdottir's visions of Odin's time in Svartalfheim, the Æsir lord Havi traveled to the prison after finding a clue of Hodda Shelter's shelter chief Sindri's location being there. During his investigation, he found a lava pit filled with cages, lava, and a burnt body. Upon further inspection, he determined it was Sindri and that his hugr was stolen with the use of the Salakar due to the cauterizing mark and concluded that he must have been Calder's first victim. Using his Hugr-Rip, Havi activated the "Power of Muspelheim," grabbed Sindri's corpse, and began to leave the prison to bring Sindri's body back to his brother Brokkr.[1]

While there, Havi found an uncut gemstone inside a locked structure and killed a jötunn warrior and claimed a platinum ingot from their personal effects. Using the Hugr-Rip again, Havi activated the "Power of Jotunheim" and teleported into another locked structure with a World knot, only to find a chest, open it, and retrieve another platinum ingot.[2]
