Jake was a British beggar active in London during the 19th century.

Biography

Along with several vagabonds and homeless people, Jake made the Thames Tunnel his home under the care of Maggie. Here, he befriended the Assassin Jayadeep Mir as an undercover Bharat Singh. However, by 1862, Jake slipped in the icy steps of the rotunda, causing his leg to break.

Jayadeep took care of Jake's leg and checked on his splint and mending leg every day. In addition to this, Maggie also gave Jake food for him to survive.
