Isakiji Temple

Isakiji Temple (伊崎寺) is a Buddhist temple situated on a small peninsula east of Lake Biwa in Shiga Prefecture, Japan, formerly part of Omi Province during the Sengoku period.[1]

In 1582, the samurai Yasuke traveled to Isakiji Temple to meet with Lady Oichi at the docks west of the temple.[2] He later joined his associate Fujibayashi Naoe to help recover lost pages that were hidden around the temple.[1]
