Even though Ezio Auditore reaches the first scholar before the Borgia, the scholar is shot dead, so he continues to find the remaining scholars.

Walkthrough

Template:Spoiler Head towards the target area. Once there, bring up your map and locate the blacksmith's shop. The scholar is directly south-east of the blacksmith icon, on the other side of the building (go to the SE corner of the blacksmith's building, looking SE, turn Eagle-Eye on and he's right across the road from you).
