Iceland (Old Norse: Ísland) is an European island country in the North Atlantic Ocean. Originally the home of the Papar, ^{[citation needed]} the island was later discovered by Vikings, who would carry ravens aboard their longships and set them free to see if they were near land. In 2020, the Assassin Layla Hassan added modifications on a number of items based on the huldufólk of Icelandic folklore to her Animus sessions of shieldmaiden Eivor Varinsdottir's memories.
