Hugrheim

Hugrheim named after Hugr, the soul and spirit in Norse mythology, is the name given by the Norse Woman Hildiran to the simulated mind realm created by the Isu device known as Freya's medallion. Within the simulation warriors could train their fighting without fear of injury or harm.[1][2]
To enter Hugrheim the user had to concentrate with the medallion, when inside the mind realm the user could choose what type of skill they wanted to hone and the simulation would mold to their needs. When used by Eivor Varinsdottir she had the ability to choose between three types of challenges (Wolf, Raven, and Bear) each representing a different skill to master (archery, stealth and fighting respectively).[1] Its user could also bring along other people into the simulation, even if the other participant did not agree to enter it.[1]
History

Circa 883 CE Hildiran taught the art of Hugrheim to jarlskona Eivor Varinsdottir, first not beliving it but after a short battle Hildiran activated the device and sent both the women into a simulation. After their fight within the realm Eivor was shocked at what she saw, Eivor then travelled to each one of the Valkyrie's Shrines scattered throughout England and completed various series of meditation challenges with the device. Each one sending her into a different scenario and training withing Hugrheim.[1]
Behind the scenes
In Hildiran's first fight with Eivor she sends them both to a unknown location, but in all other simulations experienced by Eivor they are places she had visited previously.
Other
There are 3 worlds in Hugrheim. It is unknown if they are distorted memories of Isu worlds like Asgard and Jotunheim or not. Each world corresponds to a rune, which in Scandinavian mythology denotes the world:
- The rune of the yellow world is Sovilou. It stands for Alfheim.
- Rune of the blue world - Hagalaz, means Helheim.
- The rune of the red world is Isaz, Jotunheim. Here, apparently, the developers' mistake, since the world is similar to Muspelheim.
