Gullinbursti Smida
Gullinbursti Smida was the forge, where Odin's war boar Gullinbursti was created, in southeastern Vangrinn, Svartálfaheimr.
History
In Eivor Varinsdottir's visions of Odin's time in Svartalfheim, the Æsir lord Havi discovered the forge underneath four dwarven statues and remembered the time Loki pulled the dwarven brothers and blacksmiths Brokkr and Sindri into a bet. The bet with Havi was about having the brother create gifts greater than the three gifts, Gungnir, Skíðblaðnir, and Sif's hair, he had from the Sons of Ivaldi. Despite Loki's transformation into a fly to distract Brokkr, the brothers created Gullinbursti, a war boar made of living metal.[1]
