Fujiwara no Hidesato (藤原 秀郷) was a Japanese noble and samurai of the 10th century during the Heian period. According to one folklore story, he slayed a giant centipede and was later nicknamed Bag of Rice. The Lady Oichi later retold this story to Yasuke in 1582.[1]
