Flint

Flint is a sedimentary rock texture of the mineral quartz and was primarily defined during the Stone Age. Flint appears in lumps or masses of other sedimentary rocks, such as limestones and chalks, and is known for its sharp cutting edge as well as its function as a fire-starter when struck by steel.[1]
History
In the 1st century BCE, flint was used in early weapons such as the spearhead of the Flint Spear which was used by the Hidden Ones' co-founder Bayek of Siwa.[2] In the 870s, flint can be seen in caves, like the Grime's Graves in England.[3]
During the American Revolutionary War, flint was bought and sold as a commodity in the thirteen colonies. The Kanien'kehá:ka Assassin Ratonhnhaké:ton created flint, with the use of materials of lead ore, iron ore, and limestones and the help of Davenport Homestead's blacksmith, David Walston. With the use of flint and David's aid, Ratonhnhaké:ton was able to craft multiple and varied pistols, such as flintlocks and duck foots, as well as the trip mine explosive.[4]
