The Amur, also known as the Black River, is a river that flows in Northeast Asia. In 1259, Asutai, son of Möngke Khan, marched with his Kheshig and commander Bayan with his late father's body to lay him down at the Khans' burial site at Burkhan Khaldun. While traversing beside the river, he convinced and recruited Bayan into both the Kheshig and the Mongolian Rite of the Templar Order.[1]
